Gotta say that the 16:9 resolution loading screen is amazing. Although, when I got in-game, I noticed the proportions has changed. Is that supposed to be the correct proportion? I thought the proportions were already correct when I play in my usual 1360x768 resulution.

In config the widescreen option is turned on by default. Check the page for more functions.

i mean, i do read this http://d1stats.ru/newest-map-support/ but im still not sure why 6.88 cant be played in the latest version since wc3 can now support more than 8mb maps online?

because inner dll doesn't support newest version of WC3

No. Only 1.26a, only hardcore.

its not about dll, its about the patch itself. Can only work on 1.26 unless blizzard provide required features in their "official" update (not gonna happen in this life)
